Thesprotia has small chapels by the sea and parish churches in its villages and towns. This page lists the ones we have researched for couples planning a church wedding around Sivota, Plataria, Perdika and Igoumenitsa. We add a church only when we can point to sources for what we say about it.
Agia Paraskevi, Plataria

📍 About 3 km from Plataria towards Igoumenitsa · Chapel · Feast day 26 July
A stone chapel close to the sea, known locally for the boat procession of its icon across Plataria bay on the eve of its feast day, and reported to host many weddings and christenings each year.
Before you choose a church
- Confirm with the parish first. Dates, paperwork and any rules on decoration, photography and music are decided by the parish and the local Metropolis.
- Visit before you book. Check the approach, where cars and coaches can stop, and how far guests will walk.
- Watch the calendar. Around a church’s feast day the church and the village are at their busiest.
- Plan the rest of the day. See the wedding professionals and the wedding weekend.
A church appearing here does not mean a date is available. Arrangements are always made with the parish. More churches and chapels will be added as we verify them.
