A quiet village above Plataria
Faskomilia is one of those places you only find if you are looking for space. It is a small rural village in Thesprotia, part of the Sivota municipal unit of the Municipality of Igoumenitsa, set back from the coast between Plataria and Vrysi. There is no beach in the village and no harbour, and that is the point: olive groves, gardens, birdsong in the morning and a short drive down to the sea.
Stay here if you are travelling with a car, as a family or a group, and want a house with room to spread out. Plataria, with its seafront tavernas and long pebble beach, is about five minutes away by car, and Sivota with its bays and boat trips about twenty.

Getting there and getting around
Faskomilia is a short drive south of Igoumenitsa and its ferry port, on the way towards Plataria and Sivota. The village is small and the last stretch runs on local roads, so use the map pin on each listing rather than the village name in your navigation app.
A car makes all the difference here: the beaches, the tavernas of Plataria and the bays of Sivota are all a short drive away, but none of them is within walking distance. See our car rental guide for Igoumenitsa; if you arrive by ferry late at night, the taxi guide covers the first transfer.
