In a small place like Plataria, no one stands alone. The local Parents' Association has made a heartfelt appeal to the whole community — and to everyone passing through this summer — to support a small child from our area who is facing a very difficult battle and needs the help of us all.
The idea is simple, and every single contribution counts. Collection boxes have been placed in shops and cafés around Plataria and nearby Sivota, where anyone can drop in whatever they wish. No amount is too small — together, small gestures become something powerful.
If you're visiting the area, this is an easy and meaningful way to give back to the community that welcomes you. Stop for a coffee, pick up a few things for the beach, and leave a little something in the box on your way out — standing shoulder to shoulder with the locals behind our little fighter.
Thank you to every shop owner who opened their door to this cause, and to everyone — neighbour or visitor — who chooses to help. Let's prove once more that the strength of our community lies in solidarity and in caring for one another, and let's all be part of our little fighter's victory.
